A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 (3.02 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned: Per bend Buff and Azure, in base a sun radiant throughout Or behind a snow-capped mountain issuant from center base Proper. Attached below and to the sides of the shield a Gold scroll inscribed "CUNEUS CUNEUM TRUDIT" in Black letters.
Buff and blue are the colors traditionally associated with the Quartermaster Corps, the original allocation of the unit. The sun and snow-capped mountain are indicative of the home area of the predecessor organization. The motto translates to "Wedge Drives Wedge."
The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 29th Quartermaster Regiment on 21 June 1938. It was redesignated for the 29th Transportation Truck Battalion on 16 May 1950. It was cancelled on 10 December 1951. The insignia was reinstated and redesignated for the 29th Transportation Battalion on 12 October 1956. It was redesignated for the 129th Support Battalion with the description and symbolism revised on 12 November 1992.
